RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Inspection Procedures

Who is it for?
Individuals who wish to start the process of gaining NIACS accreditation can do so by undertaking this course. There is no formal requirement to hold any pre-requisite qualification before undertaking this course.

Assessment:
Examination will take place on the final day consisting of a two-part examination. Paper 1 consists of a series of multiple choice questions whilst paper 2 requires the candidate to address short answer questions.
Benefits:
Covering all aspects of asbestos in building survey Types 1 & 2 requirements and providing the mechanisms to undertake them, the course teaches the candidate about current legislation and how it has developed. Use of asbestos in buildings and typical applications of asbestos feature heavily in this
classroom based practical course.

Bulk sampling techniques are taught and a survey of the course venue is conducted to allow the candidate to gain essential practical knowledge for use after the course. Modules covered are:

Properties of asbestos, uses and risk to health
Legislation relating to building management
Asbestos in buildings
Risk assessments
Asbestos risk management
Inspection processes, procedures and reporting
Practical sampling
