Who is it for?

This course will suit experienced trained operatives moving up to supervisor role.

Aims

For experienced trained operatives moving into a supervisory role.

Assessment

Supervisors will be given a multiple-choice test along with practical tests. Both theory and practical tests carry an 80% pass mark. Failure to achieve this will mean that the operative will not pass the course and will be required to repeat the whole course.

At the end of this course new supervisors should have knowledge and practical experience of: Legislation; Assessment and plans of work; Site set up and management; COSHH and emergency procedures; Waste management and disposal; PPE and RPE; The roles and responsibilities of a supervisor; Improved air handling and management.
