Tendering to Contractors & Local Authorities Course

Who is it for?

This course is primarily aimed at the Managing Directors or Directors of small and medium sized businesses and Estimating and Sales staff of businesses of all sizes. Some experience of the tendering process and industry culture is required but will also help people with no previous knowledge as a useful introduction.

Aims

To enable delegates to better understand how both Contractors and Local Authorities seek , vet and evaluate bidders and how to increase the chances of success using tried and trusted cost effective methods and add value to tenders in a highly competitive and recession hit industry.

Course Content

The modules covered are: Understanding Private Sector Contractors and Public Sector Local Authorities needs; Pre-tender preparation; Receiving tenders - understanding the tender documents and establishing and managing priorities; Dialogue during the tendering process; Adding value to tenders; Improving tender presentation; Effective follow up; Closing the deal; E-bidding

Additional Information

The course will be held as a hands on workshop with full interaction expected from the delegates in terms of their personal experiences in tendering (good and bad).

Course materials and a Certificate of Attendance will be provided. The course leaders are experienced at working for Main Contractors and tendering to Local Authorities and have a proven track record in winning tenders and the tendering process. A certificate of attendance will be issued.
