BOHS P402 Building Surveys & Bulk Sampling for Asbestos

Who is it for?
Those wishing to obtain a formal asbestos
surveying qualification.
Aims:
To provide the practical know-how and skills
for those wishing to undertake buildings
surveys. MDHS100 is the definitive reference
for asbestos in buildings surveys, and this
proficiency level course provides would-be
surveyors with the underpinning knowledge to
comply with it.
Assessment:
The candidate is assessed on their practical
competence during the course which
culminates in a 1hr 15 minute exam on the
final day. The exam is set and administered by
BOHS and, subject to successfully completion
of the exam and meeting further requirements
of submission of two Type 2 or Type 3 surveys,
leads to the attainment of the P402 certificate.

Course Content:
The course contains both practical and
theoretical training to enable the candidate to
undertake the final examination. The modules
covered are;

Legislation
Asbestos in buildings
Types and uses of asbestos in buildings
Management of asbestos in buildings
Bulk sampling
Examination and practical assessment
