Who is it for?
All those who manage or are involved in the construction and demolition related projects, either directly or via contractors.
Aims:
To provide clients, project managers, designers, principal contractors and contractors with an overview on the CBM Regulations 2007 and Approved Code of Practice.
Background Information:
The new, simplified Regulations revise and bring together the 1996 CDM REgulations and the Construction Health Safety and Welfare Regulations 1996 into one legal code. The CDM regulations introduced in April 2007 affect every asspect of health and safety on site, for every role in the industry, not just the builder. As a principal contractor and/or a contractor - CDM affects you! So it essential that you understand what your responsibilities are and how your role inter-relates with every other role.
ARCA is running a series of highly successful half-day CDM Awareness open training courses that specifically examines the roles and responsibilities of each duty holder under the regulations and how to ensure compliance.
