ARCA delivers First RSPH NVQ assessments in UK

ARCA assessed three asbestos removal operatives for an NVQ Level 2 Diploma, under the RSPH Experienced Candidate Assessment Route (ECAR), in December 2017.

All three operatives, Andrew Peberdy, David Kelly and Mark Thompson of Burton Environmental Services Ltd, were successful in gaining the NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Removal of Hazardous Waste (Construction) – Licensed Asbestos.

“These were the first RPSH NVQ assessments we have undertaken and the process ran very smoothly and efficiently,” commented Satish Patel, Training Manager for the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA). “I was able to make them comfortable in what is a rigorous assessment environment, enabling them to use their experience to perform tasks to a high level. I’d like to congratulate Andrew, David and Mark on a job well done.”

“On receipt of the certificates we immediately applied to ARCA for Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Cards for the operatives,” stated Ronnie Cowen, Operations Director of Burton Environmental Services Ltd. “The service was exceptional. The day after our application all three virtual smartcards were received by our operatives, and the physical cards were delivered straight after the Christmas holiday.”
