This training course covers the elements of the transport and waste regulations applicable to asbestos: ADR and The Carriage of Dangerous Goods & Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2013.
This course is for all individuals who load fibrous asbestos into skips, this also includes drivers moving exempt loads (all other drivers must hold an ADR licence) and crew travelling in the same vehicle as fibrous asbestos waste, as well as management, supervisors, admin staff and storemen. Content The course covers: Overview of the regulations HSE and the carriage of dangerous goods UN Hazard Classes – classification, packing groups, shipping names and overview UN Packaging Scheme – types, asbestos specific issues, marking and labelling and general documentation Waste regulations Vehicle Operations – compliance, documentation, equipment, PPE, tunnels, parking, small load limits, loading and unloading, accidents and terrorism measures. The course is normally conducted by the use of visual presentations, theoretical illustrations, practical demonstrations and/or participation.
