Greenfield Removals Ltd, a leader in the UK asbestos removal industry, continues to raise the bar in quality and safety. We are expanding our team and looking to appoint an Asbestos Stores Manager. This role is ideal for someone dedicated, skilled, and ready to contribute to our dynamic work environment.

Role Overview:

As the Asbestos Stores Manager, you will be responsible for managing the storage and supply logistics of materials, equipment and plant for our asbestos removal projects, assisting us to ensure all aspects of our operations involving asbestos materials are conducted safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with all regulatory standards.

This role demands a high level of organisational skills and communication.

Salary: Competitive - Dependent on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock Management: Oversee the inventory of asbestos-related materials, equipment and plant, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained for all projects whilst working with suppliers to seek cost-saving opportunities.
  • Equipment Oversight: Manage the allocation and return of materials, equipment and plant, liaising with our Asbestos Supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Fleet Condition Management: Manage the allocation and return of work vehicles for site based staff, alongside arranging any appropriate repairs, MOT and servicing.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all stores facilities and processes strictly adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the condition and quality of materials, equipment and plant, implementing corrective measures and arranging inspection/servicing as necessary.
  • Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate with the asbestos removal teams to ensure timely and efficient supply of materials, equipment and plant to sites.
  • Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for Suppliers, Contract Managers and Asbestos Supervisors concerning material supplies and inventory queries.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of inventory, compliance checks, and material use in line with regulatory and company requirements, performing regular stock checks and reporting back to the Company Directors.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Experience: Demonstratable experience in managing stores or warehouses.
  • Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record in logistical management.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication abilities for effective internal and external coordination.
  • Driving: A valid full UK driving license is necessary.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to adapt to various storage demands and travel to different locations as required.

Desirable

  • Experience working within the asbestos industry is desirable, however relevant training will be provided
  • A professional qualification in supply chain or stores management is also desirable
