Following an induction, an ARCA Assessor will be pro-active in arranging assessments on-site, to observe, discuss and record the candidates' knowledge and understanding of their role, thereby gathering evidence of competency. The Assessor is also there to encourage and guide the candidates through the process.

Experienced supervisors can generally achieve this NVQ within 3 on-site assessment days, covering nine units; seven mandatory and two additional units. The number of assessment days will depend on the skills of, and preparation by, the candidate.

Once the ARCA assessor is satisfied that the candidate’s evidence folder meets the criteria, it will then be verified. Following successful verification an NVQ certificate will be issued to the successful candidate.

Please note that photographic identification is required from all candidates - read more

A candidate can apply for a temporary Red CSCS card while working towards achieving this Level 3 NVQ.

On the successful completion of an NVQ ARCA can streamline the candidate’s Gold CSCS Card application all the candidate needs to do is pass a CITB HS&E (specialist/ supervisory) touch screen test.
