Overview

The Asbestos Supervisor plays a critical role at Global Asbestos Solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to asbestos, as well as the ability to lead teams effectively.

We are looking for fully qualified and experienced supervisor to be part of a specialised team of asbestos removal personnel working with varied clients. This post is for immediate start. To support the asbestos removal division by ensuring that company systems and procedures and legislative requirements are being implemented. Assist in helping the company become recognised as a leading supplier of asbestos removal and associated services

As an Asbestos Supervisor for Global Asbestos Solutions Ltd we expect you to carry out expert and safe removal of Licensed & Non-Licenced Asbestos Containing Materials in strict accordance with the company safety and removal systems and procedures whilst maintaining and working in line with legislative requirements and best practice.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in removing asbestos
• Assist workers in removal activities
• Complete and maintain project records
• Monitor and inspect quality of work during projects
• Carry out reviews of job specifications
• Inspects work site, and confer with the SHEQ Manager and Contract Managers
• Carry out observational audits and staff appraisals
• Ensure that legislative requirements are always undertaken maintained
• Undergo specific training applicable to on site tasks when required (i.e. MEWPS, Confined Space Training etc)
• Share knowledge and best practice techniques with members of the working team
• Be part of working team, be able to work under supervision, be a team player

Skills

• Strong analysis skills to interpret data and assess risks associated with asbestos exposure.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Leadership abilities to manage teams effectively while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Attention to detail in conducting inspections and preparing reports/paperwork.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations concerning asbestos management.
• Problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during projects.
• Supervisor training certification
• Asbestos medical
• Full face RPE face fit
• Half mask RPE face fit
• Relevant CSCS card holder
• Full Drivers licence and have the ability to tow.
