ARCA’s Key Achievements in 2024/2025
From July 2024 to June 2025, the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) accomplished several achievements to enhance its services and support for members:
1. Enhanced Member & Training Services: ARCA has improved its member services by introducing streamlined digital solutions that improve accessibility and efficiency. Members can now download their membership certificates directly from the portal.
2. e-Learning Platform: Following the initial launch, ARCA launched new courses, including an asbestos awareness course in both paid and certified versions. All proceeds from this go towards supporting Mesothelioma UK. We now have over 300 candidates completing various courses on the e-Learning hub.
3. ARCA Enhances Quality Assurance with New Digital Feedback System: ARCA has significantly strengthened its site audit scheme and asbestos training service by introducing a new automated SMS feedback system. This initiative gathers direct insights from site supervisors regarding the site audit process and gets feedback from all candidates who undertake training courses/events with ARCA.
4.  Site Audit Accreditation Scheme: ARCA conducted 798 audits, which included 721 unannounced audits across various asbestos removal sites, demonstrating our ongoing dedication to high standards across the asbestos management industry. 
5. Exclusive Partnership with Assure 360: In a ground-breaking move to help revolutionise the asbestos removal industry, offering free access to their industry-leading personal monitoring record-keeping system for all ARCA members.
6. Contribution to Asbestos Information CIC’s National Strategy Report: ARCA contributed to the Asbestos Information CIC's National Strategy Report as a founding member, working alongside ATaC, AMI, and UKAS-accredited inspection bodies to develop comprehensive strategies for transforming asbestos management across the UK. This collaborative achievement demonstrates ARCA's leadership in establishing unified industry standards and improving safety outcomes nationwide.
7. Regional Meetings and ARCA AGM: ARCA organised 21 regional meetings to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among members across different regions. Over the last 12 months, we have engaged with over 600 attendees.
8. 700th NVQ Milestone in Training: ARCA celebrated reaching the milestone of awarding the 700th NVQ in asbestos industry training, underscoring its commitment to education and professional development.
9. Exhibition at Contamination & Land Remediation Expo 2024/25: ARCA participated in the Contamination & Land Remediation Expo 2024/25, where we highlighted how our members can assist in managing and removing asbestos safely and the legal responsibilities of property owners and managers.
10. As a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO), ARCA has assisted member companies with levy payments, grant claims, and training funding. Through ARCA's membership in the CITB Employer Network, registered employers received free, flexible funding with full control over allocation and no traditional grant applications required.
