If you are an experienced contract manager, working for a licensed asbestos removal company, your next step is to gain an industry qualification. This level 4 diploma of competence is based on written examinations to verify knowledge and understanding of the elements of a manager’s role in asbestos removal projects.
The Asbestos Removal Contractors Association developed this qualification in partnership with the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH). As the awarding organisation RSPH undertakes an external verification role and issue the certificates to successful candidates. Examinations The examinations are set to demonstrate aspects such as: understanding H&S issues and legislative requirements, how to ensure H&S of staff during asbestos removal operations, know the requirements of setting up and dismantling asbestos enclosures and understanding how to manage asbestos removal sites. The units covered are: Unit 3470 - Health and Safety of Licensed Asbestos Removal for Contract Managers Unit 3471 - Principles of Licensed Asbestos Removal for Contract Managers Unit 3472 - Principles of Licensed Asbestos Removal Site Management Unit 3473 - Development of a suitable and sufficient Plan of Work for Licensed Asbestos Removal Please note: candidates should read the Qualification Information booklet before attendance.
